Topic learning

As a starting point we looked at how they were constructed, with the children then writing a set of instructions for others to follow. We then looked at why they were built - understanding the belief in an afterlife and wanting to take prized possessions with them. At the end of the week we explored the discovery of the most famous tomb, that of Tutankhamen. We will use all of this knowledge next week to write a diary entry as Howard Carter - the man to discover that tomb.
