Topic Learning
These first couple of weeks have already been packed full of learning for our topic, 'Our Precious World'...
The children have learnt about the different ways in which geographers divide the world - be that continents, countries, layers of the earth, hemispheres or time zones. We explored the different types of climate there are in the world, and how the distance from the Equator affects the temperature. We even used the temperatures from major world cities to create a graph. In addition, we have looked in depth at the polar regions: comparing and contrasting the Arctic and Antarctic.
