Watercolour painting

We spoke about silhouettes and shadows then chose a dinosaur silhouette to create our painting around. We used different colours to create lines of paint as our background and then stuck our dinosaur silhouette on. 

This task encouraged the children to really think about the instructions and demonstration, following these instructions but also making the paintings individual and unique. Using tools and equipment is one of our end of year targets...using paintbrushes effectively and appropriately is a way to demonstrate this!
