Poetry
Over the last couple of weeks the children have been inspired by some fantastic poems to write their own versions...
We read through 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright and using a similar structure, many of the key features (such as alliteration, verses and repetition) as well as similes we wrote our own. The children generated some amazing ideas and some are now up in the classroom - please feel free to pop in during the morning drop-off or after school to have a look! Also, we have written our own versions of the 'Michael Rosen Rap' with a focus on rhyming. These too will be going up on display soon!
